About San Marcos Texas

San Marcos Texas is more than just a college town. The fact it is the home of Texas State University is only one of the many things that make it stand out. Another item of interest is shopping. Those unfamiliar with San Marcos might not be aware that for a time there, the Outlet Mall'S', yes there are two of them, are known across the state as a top shopping destination. At one point it was even featured on one of the television morning shows as a top destination in the country. Not sure if it still has that designation, but if you are a shopper then it's a sight to behold. But that aside there are a lot of options in homes as well. From subdivision to downtown to acreage lots, you name it they exist. Also, it should be noted that the San Marcos real estate market has the dubious distinction of being in both the Austin Board of Realtors listings and/OR in the Four Rivers Board of Realtors which includes San Marcos and cities to the south. THIS MEANS TO BE SURE YOU ARE SEEING ALL OF THE LISTINGS IN SAN MARCOS YOU NEED TO CHECK BOTH BOARDS. We belong to both boards so we can service our clients with all of the homes for sale.
