HOW OFTEN IS THE TRAVIS COUNTY TAX WEBSITE UPDATED?

Our website is for reference only and may not reflect the most current information available. Usually, the

current tax year information is provided to our webmaster by May 1
st and continues to be updated on the1st and 15th of each month thereafter. When the appraisal roll is certified it will remain on our website until

the following April or May. Our webmaster will receive the new appraisal roll data as soon as the notices

of appraised value are mailed to the taxpayers.

HOW DO I CHANGE MY MAILING ADDRESS ON YOUR WEBSITE? WHO SHOULD I CONTACT IF

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION NEEDS CORRECTED?

You may use the Change of Address form that is available on “FORMS” link. However, you are not

required to use this form. You may also email our office at:
tax_info@tcadcentral.org or mail your

information to our office at: Post Office Box 149012, Austin TX 78714-9012 or visit our office at: 8314

HOW DO I READ AND/OR PRINT THE PLAT MAPS?

1) If you are trying to open the .pdf file map, it may not be available at this time. Therefore, you will need

to open the .tiff file map.
Although we are in the process of converting the updated maps to .pdf, it willtake several months before this project is complete.

2) If you are unable to open the .tiff image or if you can not read the image, you should verify that you are

using one of the recommended programs on your operating system. If you are using Windows XP, you

can use the “Windows Picture & Fax Viewer” and if you are using a prior operating system, you may use

the “Kodak Imaging” program.

If another program, such as “Quick Time”, has been set as your default, it may not be able to read our

plat maps. However, you can open the plat maps without changing your default settings if you save the

data and then open it with one of the above mentioned programs.

NOTE
: When you scroll down to the “Plat Map” button, you should “right click” and “save target as…” to a

file on your “Desktop” or in the “My Documents” folder. You should have the ability to open the plat

map with a program from your operating system.

HOW DO I SEARCH BY PROPERTY ADDRESS? WHY IS THERE A “NO MATCH FOUND”

RESPONSE WHEN I ENTER THE CORRECT ADDRESS?

helpful information and examples for entering the address for properties which may be more difficult to

search. If you are still unable to find a solution, you may email our records management department at
